Va-et-Vient, Shelburne, November 22

Vermont’s own Va-et-Vient (Come and Go) will give a free performance at Shelburne Vineyard on November 22 @6-8pm!

three young women musicians.

The Addison County group (whose name means “Come and Go”) celebrates the many colors of music from several French cultures. These musiciennes take you through the centuries from France to Québec and New Orleans with lively dance numbers, touching love songs, and kickin’ Cajun and Créole tunes. From Québec, they bring back traditional favorites, as well as tunes learned from elders (and youngsters!), and reweave them into their own arrangements. They’ve been performing this rollicking repertoire throughout New England and Québec since 2001.

The group includes:
Carol Reed (from Leicester) on voice, guitar, and mandolin
Suzanne Germain (Lincoln) on voice and percussion
Lausanne Allen (South Starksboro) on voice, fiddles, flute, penny whistles, harmonica, & mandolins)

Says the group: “Come on down to the Shelburne Vineyard, try their array of lovely wines and cheeses, and join in as we perform at an old favorite!  (No cover charge, but we appreciate tips!)”

Date: Friday, November 22, @6-8pm

Location: Shelburne Vineyard, 6308 Shelburne Road, Shelburne, VT, United States
