Bonjour, y’all!
The AFLCR board is excited to announce that we have formed a partnership with the Alliance Française de La Nouvelle Orléans!
What kind of partnership? One in which AFLCR members are able to take certain online courses at AF New Orleans at a discount, and vice versa.
How does it work? If you’re an AFLCR member, you can enroll in AFNO’s online classes at a 10% discount, just as AFNO members can enroll in ours.
Which classes? The offer is limited to classes unique to the school. Most beginner-level grammar classes, for example, are not available, because they’re offered at both schools. But advanced classes tend to be unique, so they’re available. This spring, for example, advanced AFLCR members might be interested in enrolling in AFNO’s “Advanced & Proficient Saturdays,” which will run from April 5 to June 7. Conversely, advanced AFNO members might be interested in Marc’s literature class or Nikki’s song class.
But I’m not an AFLCR member. You have to be a member to participate, so if you’re interested, become a member!
Okay, I’m a member. How do I get the discount? You write to info@aflcr.org and request the discount code. Once you have it, you go to the AFNO site, choose your class, and enter the discount code at registration.
When does the partnership start? It’s in effect now, as of February 28, 2025.
What else? AFNO also offers French-language Immersion Stays.
What are those? Participants travel to New Orleans and learn French firsthand in the heart of the most French city in the United States!
And the discount . . . ? Yes, it applies! AFLCR members can take advantage of the discount for that program too.
How can I find out more? Visit the AF New Orleans website and check out their course offerings. While you’re there, you can sign up to receive the AFNO’s newsletter, so you’ll always be up to date on what’s available.
