On November 5 the AFLCR inaugurated its new space at King Street in Burlington.
“Here in an atmosphere steeped in Francophony,” wrote co-president Victoria Brassart Jones, “everyone can find something for themselves, thanks to the decor, the smiles, the music, and the readings. Here during a course, students can immerse themselves in a French-speaking environment, and children can learn French in a fun way.
The open house was held two days later from noon to four p.m.
“The space was decorated thanks to generous donations from the late Birdie MacLennan, former AFLCR secretary, and from the Parker Foundation. Interior designer Suzanne Stimik, and Adrienne and Devin Gaskell, renovated the interior and created a warm atmosphere.
“Many thanks to Charles Rousseau, Tom Avenia, Lise Veronneau, Nathalie Brassart-Khan, Arthur Brassart, Christopher Jones, Sylvie Butel, Pat Donehower, Charles-Louis Morand-Metivier, Teresa Howes, Micheline Tremblay, Robin Hart, and our directors for their continuous help along the way.”
