On March 25, 2012, the Vermont International Festival and the Vermont Council on World Affairs presented the first Global Burlington International Dinner Series: An Evening of Francophone Food and Culture. The event was held at the at the North End Studios. The Alliance Française co-hosted the event and arranged for a dinner as well as performances by a French street-corner accordionist, Congolese dancers, and popular and jazz singing in the French cabaret tradition.
In this short interview, AFLCR president Linda Pervier describes the Alliance Française and how it got involved with the Global Burlington Dinner series. She also briefly detailed how French language and culture are still an integral and important part of world today.
