Restoring Notre Dame de Paris
March 6 @ 7:00 pm – 7:30 pm
In 2005 Josh Jackson co-founded TimberHomes Vermont, now a worker cooperative, specializing in timber framing. After the catastrophic fire at Notre Dame de Paris in 2019, a group called Carpenters Without Borders won the contract to rebuild the roof above the nave. CSF invited a group of carpenters to participate, and among them was Josh. He’ll tell his story about helping rebuild Notre Dame on March 6, at the St. Johnsbury Athenaeum.
The event is sponsored by Vermont Humanities. Admission is free. For information, click here.
The event is hybrid—it will also be livestreamed on the Vermont Humanities site. Go to the program page, click on “register for this free event,” click on “get tickets,” and choose “virtual attendee.” You’ll get an email with details on March 5, the day before the event.
