Pause-Déjeuner: Ernie Pomerleau, Chevalier

For our August Pause-Déjeuner, we welcome Ernie Pomerleau, president of Pomerleau Real Estate, a commercial real estate firm in business for over 60 years, located in downtown Burlington. 

For several years Ernie served as the honorary consul for Vermont to the French delegation in Boston. In 2019, he was inducted into the French Legion of Honor, which is France’s highest award for military and civilian achievements. 

A well-known figure in the philanthropic arena, he gives his time and contributions to many organizations including AFLCR, UVM Home, Health & Hospice, Cancer Patient Support Program, Shelburne Museum, Humane Society of Chittenden County, Hope Works, United Way, and many more.  

In his free time Ernie enjoys competitively racing Etchell sail boats and teaching Tai Chi.
