In 2005 Josh Jackson co-founded TimberHomes Vermont, now a worker cooperative, specializing in timber framing. After the catastrophic fire at Notre-Dame de Paris in 2019, a group called Carpenters Without Borders won the contract to rebuild the roof above the nave. They invited a group of carpenters to participate, and among them was Josh.
Josh told his story about helping to rebuild Notre-Dame on March 6, 2024, at the St. Johnsbury Athenaeum. The event was organized by Vermont Humanities.
